I am a writer, designer, creative planner, adventurer and lover-of-all-things-chocolate. I live in a wonderful state where the land is flat and everyone calls themselves a Hoosier, but no one really knows what that is.
In spite of the oddities in life, I have discovered God works through the little irritations that surface. And amidst the unanswered questions, surprising twists, embarrassing moments and unexpected turns, He blesses us with new adventures.

My work with children involves writing stories, curriculum (VBS, Sunday School, and creative writing) for children. Children learn about themselves and the world through stories. G.K. Chesterton once noted that "Fairy tales don’t tell children dragons exist … children already know dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children dragons can be killed." Stories are therapeutic and give flight to dreams. And, personally, I find nothing is more beautiful than a child with a book. Except maybe watching my own children read to their children.
Freelance writing fits nicely into my thrill-seeking tendencies because Running of the Bulls, steep roller coasters, sky diving and swimming with great white sharks just aren't my cup of tea. But then again, only God knows what wrong turn I will make next ...
